At Valley Hospital, Cynthia was in a hospital bed with bandages on her face and eyes, feeling scared about what was happening as her parents and Phillip came in. "Cynthia, it's me, your father, and Phillip. How are you feeling?" Ivy asked. “I'm scared, what happened to me!" Cynthia yelled. “There was a tornado. A chandelier fell on you, and glass went into your eyes. You are blind. I'm sorry, sweetheart," Ivy said. “Cynthia, you'll be alright. You are strong and can handle this," Richard said. “Yes, I can. Is everyone else alright?" Cynthia asked. “We lost Vera, Alistair, and Ruth, and Callie is in a coma," Ivy replied. “I'm sorry about your sister," Cynthia said. "Thanks," Ivy responded. “Phillip, how are the children?" Cynthia asked. “Chanel was in a car accident, the same one as Callie. Chanel lost the baby. Is she okay with it?" Cynthia asked. "Actually, yes, she is," Ivy answered. "Mother, Daddy, I would like to talk to my husband alone." "Alright," Ivy said, and they left.
"Phillip, just because I'm blind now, I still want a divorce. I don't think it changes anything between us." "I agree. I'm sorry you're blind, but your father is right. You can handle this," Phillip said. He kissed her on the forehead and left.
