At Cynthia and Phillip's house, Cynthia was looking out the window, thinking about what had happened to her family over the past few days—her sister nearly dying, being fired by her mother, and working with her other sister. The most shocking thing was her father coming back to life as her daughter Chanel entered the room. "Mother," Chanel said as Cynthia turned around and looked at her oldest daughter. "Chanel, we haven't talked much about what happened in Paris. I know we had our disagreements about your career, but I'm sorry for what occurred there. I wish you had called your father and me; we could have helped you," Cynthia said as Richard entered. “I helped my granddaughter," Richard said as Phillip came in. "How did you two come across each other in Paris before that happened?" Phillip asked. "I asked Daddy to keep an eye on our daughter, Chanel. I know you could handle your modeling career, but I was worried about you out there alone, and I was right to ask Daddy to look out for you," Cynthia explained. “I had my bodyguard watch you, and I'm glad I did because I saw you being attacked, and I'm sorry I didn't stop it sooner," Richard added. “Where is the bodyguard? Are there any witnesses?" Philip inquired. “No, it will stay in Paris. Chanel can put this behind her," Richard said. "Actually, I can't," Chanel responded as RJ and Vivenna entered. “Grandfather, I'm glad to see you back," Vivenna said. "Yes, we're happy you're home," Cynthia added. "Did we interrupt something?" Vivenna asked. “I was just telling our parents and grandfather about what happened to me in Paris," Chanel explained.
